M&S Brief - Ponder Time

Competition brief set by YCN online. To create the 'perfect picnic' for M&S: I created a tea party set called 'Ponder Time' which gives you things to ponder about - great for a get together with friends.

Magma Books

Attract more of a student audience to the Magma Bookstore in Manchester. To do this I created a range of products for hungover students, to keep track and get over their hangovers.

Hannah Saves The Day

Self Promotional Work - The comic tells the story
of a mystery 'Super Designer' who has been
spotted solving designer's problems across the
Greater Manchester area; everything from
awkward clients to starving designers!

Diana City

Web Design project to advertise and create a
campaign for a certain product; mine being the
'Diana Mini’ Camera. This included a website
(designed and coded), Ipod Application and
Social Networking Events.

Fedrigoni: YCN Brief

Competition brief set by YCN :‘Bring one of
Fedrigoni’s paper ranges to life’ in which I worked
with a motion student and created an interactive
launch event for the ‘Sirio Colour’ range. All print
work created by me and motion piece by Hirra H)

Celebrity Re-brand

Re-Brand a dead/ failing celebrity, in which I chose
to re-brand the dead celebrities Sid Vicious and
Nancy Sprungen; known for their punk ways and
rebellious behavior. I re-invented the celebrities
as talk show hosts aimed at a student audience.

A-Z Typography Project

This project was given as a summer project and
the aim was to create the alphabet in any way possible. I chose to go down the typography and
illustration pathway and experiment with combining different typefaces for each letter.

Electric Cupcake

Small personal project which was started after
attending a screenprinting and applique
workshop. This contained alternative and handmade tote bag designs.

My Big Fat Show

I was asked by my tutor to do the photography for the final year show (and set up) of 2011 at The Hive, Manchester.

Hannah Furnell

In May 2012 I finished my study on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course at Salford University, in which I graduated with a First Class Honours degree. I am currently working as a full time Graphic Designer for Lovelysally.com, but also own 'Hannah Furnell Design Ltd.', allowing me to work as a freelance designer.

I specialise in Graphic Design and Visual Communication. I intend to carry forward my academic skills and am eager to improve my skills with experience in the industry. I am very dedicated to my work and wish to share my passion for design.
